Department Manager seeking experienced administrative candidate to coordinate a wide variety of department duties including cross-department communication and trouble-shooting, scheduling, processing of freelance invoices, and other assistance as required by team of editors, reporters and producers. Manager will also monitor audience feedback and email communications with the department, and assist in compilation of metrics and other information.


  • Strong organizing skills, versatile work ethic and ability to work both under close direction supervision, as well as independently when necessary
  • Ability to process invoices and maintain communications with department freelancers, contributors and others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience and familiarity with relevant office software programs
  • Enthusiasm for working in positive, collegial newsroom setting,
