Freelance Production Assistant, Fox News Radio

The Production Assistant at Fox News Radio is responsible for assisting the desk with the production of audio. 

Job Duties:

  • Pitch story ideas
  • Audio editing
  • Work with editors
  • Prepare studios for on-air talent
  • Printing scripts
  • Conducting interviews

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA in Broadcasting, Journalism or Communications degree
  • Prior internship experience in radio, television or online journalism
  • Understanding of the technical and editorial functions of radio and multi-media production
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current events
  • Basic knowledge of iNews, ENCO and Adobe Audition (Cool-Edit)
  • Strong multi-media journalism skills and social media experience
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Quick learner and eager to advance

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Must have flexibility to work all shifts in a 24 hour newsroom environment
  • Must be willing to work in NYC
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
