We are looking for a highly motivated, pro-active, and creative Newsroom Producer to join our Fox News family in our Washington Bureau. As the Newsroom Producer ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­you will work to book, write, and produce segments for all our shows. We are looking for a team player that possesses strong communication skills and works well under pressure. You are also someone who has an extensive and impressive rolodex, a positive attitude and are very detail oriented. You have stellar communication skills and thrive in a fast-paced breaking news environment, looking to grow within the company and take on more responsibilities. Also as a Newsroom Producer, you have a deep understanding of current events, national politics, and the DC area.

A snapshot of your responsibilities:

  • Strategize with your colleagues on the best booking approaches
  • Pitch unique and interesting stories that our viewers will relate to
  • Create talking points for talent and guests
  • Conduct research and compiling well-rounded pre-interviews
  • Handle daily deadline turnarounds of a live-show
  • Gather editorial information and video
  • Generate story ideas and produce live shots
  • Identify news and selecting video and sound bites
  • Oversee editing, conduct interviews and write stories for television and digital platforms
  • Coordinate studios and guest transportation
  • Help us to establish a “cast of characters” who become fixtures on the show
  • Assist segment producers with packets and research as needed
  • Be ready to assist in the control room as needed - everything from writing banners to checking in guests


  • A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of television news experience and booking
  • Strong editorial judgment and logistical skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and intense atmosphere
  • Motivated, self-starter who is able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work day/night/weekend shifts
  • Familiarity with iNews
  • Understanding of tapeless workflow in a newsroom
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize is a necessity
  • Field experience  and experience on Capitol Hill is a plus
  • Experience interacting with high profile talent and guests
  • Basic knowledge of newsroom functions
  • Willing and able to work under tight deadline pressure while juggling long-term bookings
