The Manager of Business Development will focus on growth and revenue of all digital platforms at Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network. The Business Development department is responsible for creating new revenue streams and growing usage. This is a small team where you will get exposed to many different aspects of the cable TV, advertising and digital business

A snapshot of your responsibilities include:

  • Creating and growing new alternative digital revenue streams
  • Making strategic and innovative recommendations to grow the digital business and sell through proposals to management
  • Working with cross functional teams efficiently to bring new ideas to fruition
  • You will liaise effectively across many different departments and stakeholder groups across the company including finance, digital, legal, programming, engineering and marketing
  • Creating financial models and supporting decks to support new strategies and opportunities
  • You will identify threats to the digital ad business, create and implement tactics to mitigate or eliminate them
  • You will work closely with national sales and support staff around new partnerships and opportunities, increasing monetization on new platforms
  • Pursuing and negotiating new partnership agreements
  • Growing, building and cultivating existing external and internal partnerships
  • Staying abreast of industry developments, technology and competitors
  • Monitoring and analyzing various types of data including partnerships, ad campaigns and analytics

You…

  • 3-5 years’ relevant digital experience aggressively growing new business and launching new initiatives
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills with meticulous follow up
  • Highly analytical, ability to interpret data, recognizing inflection points and key insights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly proficient in creating and presenting PowerPoint decks (Prezio a plus)
  • Master in excel, creating revenue projections and financial models
  • Requires excessive entrepreneurial spirit and drive
  • Must have a passion for growth and building a business and digital media
  • Exceptional understanding of digital landscape and ecosystem, key players, revenue models, big data, OTT and ad digital technology
  • Knowledge of basic analytics platforms (Comscore, Omniture and Chartbeat / Parse.ly)
  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • Motivated, versatile and thrives in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to make thoughtful recommendations and execute
  • Must be interested in working in a growth hacker type role at a large media organization
