Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network Technical Operations is seeking to fill a Freelance Remote Coordinator position in our Acquisitions Department. Fox NY Acquisitions is the heart of FNC and FBN’s technical operations. Remote Coordinators are responsible for all remote video/audio feeds utilized by live control rooms on the air. As a Remote Coordinator you thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment where quick thinking and effective communication is essential.


A snapshot of your responsibilities:

  • Working alongside Ingest and Transmission Operators to ensure quality control of all video/audio feeds originating outside of the studio.
  • Fulfill Ingest Operations when not directly working with a live control room


Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in applicable area of study and 1+ years of experience or 3+ years of experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well independently as well as in a team setting
  • Ability to multi-task in a stressful environment
  • Availability to work some weekend/overnight hours
  • Intermediate MS-Windows computer skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Audio/Video recording operations
  • Experience with Interruptible Fold-Back devices and their use
  • Knowledge of camera operations
  • Familiarity with live news production
  • Advanced knowledge of video/audio quality control hardware
  • Experience with linear recording software
  • Basic knowledge of common video/audio issues and how to solve them
  • Knowledge of small studio lighting and three point lighting
  • Basic knowledge of common video/audio issues and how to solve them
  • Conscientious “can-do” attitude
  • Strong desire to learn
