We are looking for a Digital Newsroom Support Specialist in our Broadcast & Media Technology group to join our Fox News family.  As the ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Support Specialist you will provide Information Technology engineering support and systems maintenance support for the Digital Newsroom Asset Management System.

A snapshot of your responsibilities:

  • Maintaining Media Asset Management (MAM), Ingest, Editing, and Playout systems
  • Configuring SAN (Storage Area Networks) to work with Ardome and TSM
  • Designing and engineering/developing scripts for monitoring MAM Applications
  • Configuring/ engineering Ardome to integrate with Ingest, Playout, Transcoders
  • Developing scripts in Perl, BASH (Shell) running on AIX, RHEL and creating scheduled jobs to monitor and administer MAM
  • Engineering Java applications for managing media workflow, writing applications for transcode workflow

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering plus 2 years of experience in the job offered, including the following required skills/technologies:
    • Software: Ardendo Ardome Digital Media Management System; Pebble Beach System; Quantum StorNext Filesystem; and Red Hat Enterprise Linux, IBM DB2, IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, DS4800 SAN Storage, LTO Library, Telestream Flip Factory, Harmonic Carbon Coder, and Final Cut Pro;
    • Hardware: IBM Pseries and Xseries servers, MAC Pro workstations; Omneon Spectrum Media Directors and Media ports; and Harris Grass Valley video router.
