Booker/Researcher, Varney & Co.

Role Purpose:

The Booker/Researcher will plan, research and book segments for the live news program, Varney & Co., on the Fox Business Network.  Position requires an early morning schedule.

Job Duties:

  • Pitching stories
  • Producing segments and graphics
  • Writing Copy
  • In-depth research
  • Networking and booking guests
  • Plan for anticipated news events

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of network or major broadcast experience
  • High-level knowledge of the financial markets, business and political news
  • Ability to react to breaking news with instant programming ideas
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Flexibility, versatility and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize is a necessity
