FOX News is seeking an Application Developer for its Web Production and Development department.

Description:

The Application Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining front end and backend code for web sites, including but not limited to WordPress blogs and other PHP-based sites and CMS’es (Content Management Systems) built using Drupal. This programmer also specializes in client-side technologies, such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Principal Functions:

- Will be fluent in PHP and will work on LAMP projects, including Developing and maintaining Wordpress blogs

- Will be responsible for developing template HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for new functionality

Essential Skills and Experience:

- Experience with LAMP technologies (PHP, Wordpress, Drupal)

- Knowledge of databases and SQL

- Experience developing standard-compliant XHTML and CSS

- Familiarity with CSS frameworks helpful

- Use of JavaScript libraries such as JQuery for interactive DHTML and AJAX scripting

- Knowledge of XSLT and Portlet concepts helpful
